Many patients put off seeing an ophthalmologist until they have had a change in their vision. However, most serious eyes diseases do not show symptoms in the early stages. It is important to catch eye disease in the early stages when it is the most treatable, which is why we recommend that everyone have a comprehensive eye exam each year.
